Are you trying to plan a Mr. Onederful First Birthday Party for your little man? Or maybe you are just browsing for a super cute first birthday theme idea for you little boys first birthday party.
Well, for either one of those options above, we have some adorable ideas for you! Heading into 2021 there are still so many unknowns and many of you may still be foregoing planning a bash for your little guy in the midst of this pandemic. But, that does not mean he still can't have a super adorable outfit and maybe an equally adorable cake smash photo session.
We have been making our Mr. Onederful First Birthday outfit in the black and gold for a couple years now and the design is 100% exclusive to us (if you see it elsewhere it has unfortunately been copied) but we can assure you the quality and our patent pending design of snap on bow ties and suspenders can not be matched if found somewhere else besides us. Sorry for that side note...but had to throw it in there.
Anyway, since we have been making this outfit for little guys for the past couple years we have been blessed to see all the creative ideas of our customers put into action and we have compiled some of the cutest ones for you here to give you that party planning inspiration.

HERE IS A LINK TO OUR JUNGLE PARTY SHOP THAT HAS EVERYTHING FROM OUTFITS TO SUPPLIES AND DECOR
The jungle theme first birthday party is near and dear to my heart because this is what we did for Noah's first birthday...now I am over here thinking of what to do for his 5th birthday party? Where in the heck did the time go? Even though it was almost four years ago, I still prefer the more bold colors like the oranges, greens, browns, yellows and the cute animated characters, so I wanted to do a blog on this same color scheme.
The jungle outfit is one of our classics and it never disappoints. It is so cute for pictures, the cake smash and the party and yes it will hold up for all of that!
Invitations
Now, how cute are these passport invitations? What a creative way to invite friends and loved ones to feel like they are really going on an adventure. I made my own by getting kraft cardstock and then printing my design on my own printer.
Cut Out Trees with Burlap Background
Looking for a cute but simple, easy to put together backdrop for your kiddo’s birthday party? You can never go wrong with DIY cutouts. How adorable is the little monkey swinging from the vines?Construction Paper can easily be found at your local Dollar Tree or Walmart. You can get 2 yards of burlap fabric from Walmart or Joanne Fabric (don't forget your coupons) for a very reasonable price.
Guest Tables
I just love the orange and lime plates and the fake fern plants running along the middle of the table. The contrasting napkins placed inside the cups is so simple but also adds some extra texture to the table.
Chocolate cake w/animal toppers & monkey cupcakes
Then of course with any birthday, the main attraction, the cake! Whether you plan on having just a cake or cupcakes or both, here are a few deliciously creative ideas. I just love these cake toppers! It’s as simple as whipping over to a Target or Toys R Us to find these little animal figures and setting them on a cake. Oh and look at those cupcakes! Such a great idea to use vanilla wafers to make the little monkey faces! I also love the animal face cupcakes. These are a super easy way to make a dessert table look full and decorated at the same time.
Toys/Gift Boxes
We literally bought all of the fun little giveaway stuff online and the prices were very reasonable. With animal masks and DIY binoculars, little ones can let their imaginations roam free playing safari animal or explorer.
Snacks/Drinks
If you’re thinking of a healthy snack for the little monkeys, fill a bowl with bananas or these adorable tiger tangerines. For the adults, you can fill pitchers or these cute dispensers with some fun cocktails. You can also use the dispensers for kid drinks of course like lemonade or punch.
All of these ideas can easily be implemented while being budget friendly. I find Walmart to have very reasonable on prices for the plates, napkins, plastic tablecloths and favors.

The outfits are exclusive to our shop and can be found here!

If you've read any of my other blogs you know how much I love the invitations. These are super cute and can be customized!
The table setup is my favorite. I love the red and white polka dot table cloth with yellow runner down the middle. The black large paper plate with two small black paper plates for Mickeys ears, how easy and cute is this?
Of course we have to feed the little ones. Below is a picture of a Mickey Mouse pizza , pepperoni for the face and two black olives for Mickeys ears .... yummy. For a healthier snack, and oh so clever, are fruits designed on a tray to look like Mickey's pants.
For games, I tried to keep it really simple but entertaining. Below I've pictured a Mickey Mouse bucket toss and pin the tail on Mickey.
To wrap this little party up... DESSERT. The Mickey Mouse cake is sooo cute and the colors just tie the whole party theme together, plus the little guy is in our outfit which goes so well. You can have your birthday/smash cake made at any bakery, I personally like Walmart bakery because they do a great job for a reasonable price. The Oreo Mickey Mouse cookies are also a great budget friendly idea.
Finally Here are Some Super Cute Decorations
]]>So in honor of trying to be ahead of the game, I bring to you some of my favorite ideas for Valentines photo sessions for your little guys. I have also picked some that are pretty simple so you can do them at home instead of having to hire a photographer and spend hundreds of dollars. Of course all of these would be super duper cute with one of our Valentine's Day Outfits. *Wink Wink*
My new favorite this season is our Exclusive Heart Breaker Tie Outfit and we only have a limited quantity available so I would recommend ordering early. If you already have our bodysuit and just want the tie we also have it for sale individually.
Okay now on to the fun stuff. Most of these are very simple to recreate with some inexpensive craft store items. For the more elaborate set ups it is probably best to find a local photographer that offers holiday mini sessions.
1. DIY LOVE letter cutout theme
2. Kisses 25 cents
3. Subtle Backdrop to just focus on the cuteness of your little guy
4. Kisses Booth (yes this could be DIY by painting an old wooden pallet box)
5. The Romantic
6. Decorate the Crib Idea
I hope these have helped get your wheels spinning on some ideas for your little guys.
For all of you who checked out our blog use code VZQEL5IH7HBQ for 15% off your entire order in our shop. This is for boys and girls outfits!

This is such a cute them for the little guys for their first birthday! Below is an ADORABLE picture of one of our customer's in his Sesame Street Birthday Outfit.
I found the perfect invitations to match the birthday boys outfit and these can easily be printed from home. The company, ekwebdesigns, who made the design charges 12.99 to personalize the invitation for you and then you get the digital file and print however many you need.
I looked at hundreds of different dessert/snack table setups and this was my favorite and it is fairly simple to re-create.
Oriental Trading has a brick paper roll for 20.00 and it makes the perfect backdrop for your table. You can find the green tablecloth there as well for 1.50
So for dessert, I love the cupcakes because then you are not dealing with having to cut cake, pass it out, and have extra plates and utensils on hand. This cake is perfect because it is all on a little cardboard cupcake stand with the "smash cake" on top for the birthday boy and then for everyone else the cupcakes that they can just grab and go.
For plates and napkins, Birthday in a Box, has a pretty cute complete set that also includes a few little decorations that you can incorporate into your focus table.
For a healthier snack option, as well as a colorful display for your table that will occupy a good amount of space, these fruit, cracker and veggie platters are super creative.
Last, for a little game I love the Oscar's trash toss idea. If you don't already own a metal waste basket/bucket then a less expensive alternative to buying an actual metal one, is to buy a cheap plastic one from the Dollar Store and spray paint it silver.
]]>As always we start with the outfit behind the inspiration. You can view the outfit here.
First thing we will start with is the invitation. This is super simple but the colors and design are awesome! This is part of a whole printable party pack from Owlie Powlie. The whole pack is only $19.00 and would give you all the printables you would need to pull this theme off.
This table setup is super cute and this is all with the printables from Owlie Powlie as well. The next few images are close ups of some of the cute decor you can make by simply buying the pack and printing out the designs yourself on cardstock.
There are a couple cute options for plates and napkins from Oriental Trading. The first one has a little pop of lime green added which I think is super cute. You could add a few more lime green details if you chose this plate set to really tie in the colors.
The favor boxes are super cute and you could add some cute mustache theme stickers or write the kid's names on the boxes.
Finally, for the cake, I have seen many variations of mustache cakes but this one has the perfect colors and I love that it has little mock suspenders to tie in with the mustache suspender first birthday outfit.

There are bodysuits that have snap on ties and bow ties but ours does so much more than that. Our number ones for first birthdays are even removable (they are like a sticker, except with super sticky fabric adhesive) so you can use your outfit over and over again after your birthday.
With our 1st birthday outfit, if you buy the standard outfit that comes with the bodysuit, bow tie, number one and suspenders for only $23.00, look how many options you have for wearing it!!
We also sell really cool bundle sets like this one below. The cost for the whole set is $51.00 so that works out to ONLY $4.25 per outfit since you can make 12, yes you read that right 12, outfits on this one Build a Bodysuit. The bodysuit can be washed like any normal baby bodysuit so if it gets really messy you can treat it with spray in wash or bleach and it washes up like new. We also sell additional bodysuits with just the snaps for only $6.00.
Here are just a few of the combos you can make with the above set:
You can also wear it without the suspenders, just with the ties and bow ties since the snaps are strategically placed where the suspenders attach.
Photographers love using our product, as do parents, since you can fully change your baby's look without having to struggle and get them into a whole new bodysuit. It takes seconds to snap on a new tie, or new suspenders. I know I have loved using this for my boys and all their milestone photos.
I hope this helps and that you are excited to try your Build a Bodysuit on your little guy!
XOXOXO, Lindsay
]]>HERE IS A LINK TO OUR MONSTER PARTY SHOP THAT HAS EVERYTHING FROM OUTFITS TO SUPPLIES AND DECOR
This is my second post for my First Birthday Inspiration Series and I seriously wish I could just have a party every weekend for my little ones. I know they take a ton of effort and planning...not to mention money, but who doesn't love a good party?
The Little Monster Theme is one I get asked about alot so I hope you can find some good inspiration from my post, whether you decide to do everything DIY or buy already made decor, there are definitely some very creative ideas below. For those of you who want a one stop shop experience I have my Monster Party in a Box. This is a selection of super cute items to make decorating and planning your party super easy. You can also add on al la carte items to customize.
My favorites item of course is the outfit since that is what I make and design. :) We have a few really cute options for the Little Monster Theme.
So, of course with any party you will most likely be sending out invitations (unless you are doing it all via email/social media) and these are super cute and simple to do. You can see the post on how to make them here.
The trend lately is to have a main table (dessert table, snack table, gift table whatever one you prefer) and then just deck it out to be the focal point of your party.
I thought the dessert table setup was adorable here and it would be fairly simple to recreate. Find a good local bakery to make your cupcakes and/or cake. The unique part of this table setup is the adorable furry "tablecloth" which is just raw fabric from a local craft store like Joann.com or your local store (my favorite because they always have 40-50% off coupons-just google Joann coupons). You would probably need 2 yards if you were using a standard 6ft. collapsible table as your dessert table. I priced the fabric at Joanne's and it would run about 18.00 for the 2 yards (that is with a 50% off coupon).
I love this idea for the cups and found it on pinterest.
Here is another table that is super cute. It is setup as a party favor table. The balloons and streamers behind the table are an inexpensive way to get that pop of color and wow factor.
Here are some ideas for favors, decor and other Little Monster Party Decorations and Supplies.
For plates and napkins you could always get solid bight colors as those are less expensive but if you want over the top here are some cute ones. They sell the plates and napkins outside of the pack as well.
If you are thinking about doing your own cake toppers, banners, water bottle labels etc. here is a great printable pack from Etsy

I know that like many of you mom's, I spend hours upon hours on Pinterest looking at everything from "easy mom hair do's" to "activities to keep toddlers busy". I go on there looking for one specific topic and get sucked into the Pinterest rabbit hole and before you know it, I realize the sun is coming up and I just missed a whole night's sleep. LOL
So, to help you mommas out when you ask me if I make this and that, or if I know where you can get a party hat, a custom invitation or what ideas I have to go with the outfit you are purchasing or if I have an idea for a theme in general, I will point you to my blog. The pictures and links to shops have been researched for hours upon hours and I have compiled the best ideas and inspiration I could find for you.
For my first post in this series I chose the Vintage Airplane Theme Party because it so cute and just screams little boy. Hope you enjoy and get some inspiration!
Lindsay XOXO
Here is the outfit which is perfect for the Vintage Airplane Theme. You can choose from a Red or Blue Bow and then a Brown, Blue or Red Number One. I love it paired with jeans or cute khaki/tan shorts for summer birthdays.
The following images and inspiration are from Catch My Party
Printing an old vintage poster was a really unique idea and something that definitely gives that old vintage feel
I loved how she chose to incorporate the initial of his first name in the cookies. It is a subtle but not over the top personalization
The little cardboard box airplane is super cheap to make but is totally adorable as a photo prop for all the little birthday guests.
The aviator caps for the little photo prop are a classic and must have for the vintage airplane theme party. The cheapest ones I found were from Discount Party Supplies and were 6.50 each.
The little flying airplane kits were a unique favor idea and would keep kids occupied for a bit building and then playing them.
I am a big fan of the passport invitation idea. I did this for Noah's first birthday which was a Safari theme and everyone ranted and raved about them. They were very simple to make with cardstock I got from Joannes.
The following images and inspiration are from Tanias Design Studio. She has a whole printable set for the Vintage Airplane Theme that is too adorable!

My name is Lindsay and I am a mom of two boys, Noah (4) and Nikolas (1). I started this company when Noah was a few months old, although the concept and idea began while I was pregnant with him. My background was in marketing and sales and I had always worked in the corporate world but I always wanted to have my own business. I tried dappling in real estate, got my real estate license, and decided that wasn't for me. I tried freelance consulting, had a women's online clothing boutique, sold at our local swamp meet and had many other failed ventures before Noah's Boytique came to life. It was a culmination of all the lessons I had learned from the corporate world and my failed endeavors that finally led me to get it together for this business.
The last 3 years have been a whirlwind and I love constantly learning and working toward making our product better while we focus on quality and customer service. I have been blessed to be able to bring aboard a team of other mom's who want the freedom to work from home and feel the pride of making products for all of our wonderful customers. I am truly humbled and honored every time an order comes through and I look forward to creating outfits for your little guys and gals (our girl line launched late 2015) for many years to come.
